"Situational Music" is based on the concept of audio experiences exclusively linked to specific places, objects, and/or constraints such as GPS data, time, weather, or other similar data.
The concept of situational music builds upon past recordings that had an overlapping interest in situating certain music in particular places, such as Brian Eno's 1978 "Music for Airports" or Yoshimura Hiroshi's "Music for Nine Postcards" (1982), which was created for the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo.
